Interesting video

This is a video we watched in one of my classes.  It was made at K-State and is pretty interesting....discussing the "average" college student.

Is your refrigerator running?

....well I am!  So I'm working my way up to running 30 minutes straight as my running starting point....yea it sounds easy to some of you probably...but its work. :|  Up to 27 minutes, in 9 minute intervals, with 1 minute in between...getting closer. :)

A blog of firsts, and seconds

This is a historic entry! A blog containing many firsts! It is my first attempt at video editing, my first blog entry with a video, Sandy's bike's first ride on singletrack. And a blog of seconds too... my second ever blog entry, Sandy's bike's second ride... ok, enough with the cheesey first and seconds stuff. I am pretty psyched about trying to make some videos though, it should be fun. Keep an eye out for more to come. In the meantime, enjoy! (I hope)

it's a bird...it's a plane.....

it's Sandy running her fastest mile yet today! yay me.  I rock.

I won't tell you how fast it was because that would be embarrassing when you all were like....wow, that's not fast.

But yay me! I am psyched!

There would be a picture ...but its hard to capture lightning on film.....

Sandy's new bike!!

Yay! We are so excited, Sandy got a bike! After some shopping trips to local bike shops, a lot of test riding, and putting some sales people through some very long and strung out question and answer periods (by me of course) Sandy decided on a Giant Yukon. "Luna" or "Neptune" (Sandy hasn't quite decided) became a member of the family on Saturday. Looks like a nice bike, eh? It is! But why the picture of the bike upside down? Well... on our first ride, we were about 6 miles from home and suddenly Sandy's rear tire went flat! So I pedaled home to get the truck and came back to find her with another flat tire! Two flat tires! Yes, BOTH tires went flat on the first ride! Turns out thorny stickers aren't a good thing for a tube. So her bike is on the injured/reserve list until I pick up some new tubes. But we sure are excited about her bike!

so sad. so sorry.

Two blogs in one day...I know but I have been meaning to post both of these things for a few days....

So last week was the blessed event of Kansas Day, (Jan. 29), and I LOVE Kansas Day.  I LOVE to sing Kansas Day songs really loud and spread the joy of Kansas Day....

and this year I forgot.  I literally said to someone on the 29th....hmmm...seems like today is someone's birthday....then the next morning on the radio they were talking about "Kansas Day yesterday"....I was so sad ....I missed it.

so depressing.

first one to 100?

Wrong. Bad idea. Don't do it.  Playing raquetball to 100 seemed like a good idea at the time.....but it was not.  Perhaps the fact that I could barely walk from doing lunges and Andy couldn't straighten his arms from lifting the day before should have been a sign that this was a BAD IDEA.  But......yea........we did it anyway.

and by the way I won like 100 to 92 or something.
