Santa is lost....

So on my way to work this morning I totally thought I saw Santa...

So it is pretty cold this morning, right? like 13 degrees and I was stopped at the stoplight right at the edge of campus, a fairly popular crossing for students, faculty....and apparently Santa.  No kidding, Santa was there wearing an ankle length red pea coat, black pants and black shoes, a red and white had....that kind of like had a tail or something so it swayed when Santa moved....then Santa had a big, white, fluffy beard! I swear!

Okay, so I think it was actually a scarf.  But it must have been wrapped several times about the person's head because it looked EXACTLY like a beard if you didn't look really close.  I wish I had a pictures, if it were Christmas time I would have thought someone was dressing like Santa on purpose...seriously...it looked EXACTLY LIKE SANTA.  

So...either ole Kris Kringle spends his down time in Kansas or.....someone should tell that poor women that she looks exactly like Santa!!!  (seriously...exactly

the best day of the worst year ever!

According to my friend Emily "26" is the worst year ever...not being able to know myself I have to assume she is right....so Andy started his worst year last Wednesday....

We hiked at the Konza Prairie, dinner at Coco Bolos, homemade chocolate cake, and a birthday present scavenger hunt!

it's easy to forget.

Sometimes even I forget how incredibly important and awesome I am.  Good thing I get stuff like this in the mail to remind me... ;)

 I'd like to thank the academy....and my dear Justine who made this possible. Seriously cool.

i'm procrastinating.  i'm pretending the semester hasn't started and i haven't gone back to work and i am still on Christmas vacation...which is why i haven't resumed blogging....

so i am just going to keep pretending for a while....why not?

Back in the swing....

Finally back in the swing of things....started my new job today as a graduate assistant in the department of communications in the K-State College of Ag.....

My office is pretty good sized....has nothing on the walls....no carpet...and is great because all the echoing makes it easier to talk to myself.....and I must say, I am an exceptional conversationalist!

I'll get a pic to show you how bad it really is.....seriously, not good.

Home bound...

We are ending our Christmas Vacation journies tomorrow...(Wednesday)...when we travel home to Manhattan. So we'll get back into the swing of blogging....get ready!
