The one that got away...

One week after the close of the 2012-2013 deer hunting season, I thought I'd post a photo depicting how it went....

In related news, I started shooting my new bow this weekend (first time in 20 years I have shot a compound bow), and these were my first three shots! I'm looking forward to next season!!

 Last night we were having left over birthday cake and Andy asked if I wanted ice cream..

"yes, just a little bowl please"

Not sure if the picture really depicts how small this bowl is...it's like 2 bites.  he thinks he is so funny.

this is why we can't be friends.

 

maybe it's an acquired taste?

For some reason a couple of weeks ago Cora took to crying everytime "Apa" held her...

but this morning -- smiles!!

Maybe it's because she's a morning girl and he usually sees her in the evening when she's starting to get cranky...

Maybe he's an acquired taste? Like beer or wine...you  just have to get used to it?

Or maybe she finally listened to me when I told her she should be nice to "Apa" because he might build her a dollhouse or toy stove or something someday....more of a "what's in it for me" attitude....I'm sort of guessing it's this one.

babysitting is a piece of cake!

Today Grandma daycare came with a piece of oatmeal cake for breakfast! Yummers!

Cake is fine for breakfast.  I SAID IT HAD OATMEAL IN IT.

the day has come....

The day has finally come (actually the day came yesterday...but just now getting the good news spread!)....when I rescued this little guy.

yes...it really has been since June...
