6 years???

I can't believe it has been 6 years!!!!  6 years...wow.  that is 72 months -- more the 26,000 days.  This seriously could be one of the most impressive, fulfilling things I have ever accomplished.  And certainly, it seems, like more than most people can say.  I know I don't usually get sentimental --- but this really is sort of a big deal.  I mean I lose my car keys and phone 5 times a day on a GOOD day...I lost my hair brush like a month ago...still haven't found it (don't worry I have a back up)...so today, when I realized that I bought my sunglasses 6 years ago before we went on our honeymoon and that I STILL have had the SAME PAIR of sunglasses 6 years later, well, with all due modesty, makes me pretty freakin awesome.

on the other hand, it probably says something about my lack of style....

True love...

True love on this the 6th anniversary of our marriage.. up to this point I have been unwilling to match my dear husbands socks...as he is super super super over the top silly about it...see here.

but today...yes, I thought...hey I can read code...wouldn't it be nice of me to go out of my way to help him out...make his life a little easier...

(okay, actually I thought, "hey I can either match these and put them away now, or be prepared to look at them piled up here for the next two weeks waiting for someone else to match them")

either way, I searched for the code, deciphered the markings and matched the **** socks. happy anniversary.

Friday Five

Well, hello Friday, we meet again...

What a fun week! Last weekend we relaxed with some fishing...

it's summertime! LOVE being outside and out and about...

our neighbors got an indoor pet goat...yes.

Cora has taken her new bike trailor out for a few rides...

and she has been crawling and pulling up all over the place.

 

also, I often get comments about her good picture on facebook, etc.  I'd just like to say that for everyone one of these really cute bottom left type pictures...we get 10 of the I'm trying to eat you or your phone bottom right type pictures.

So our neighbors brought home a pet goat a few days ago... He lives in their house and hangs out on a leash. Interesting.

No, I'm not kidding... But our neighbors are. (Just a little goat humor...ha! "Little goat" I didn't even think about that part. I'm unwittingly hilarious, I will assume you all agree)

This Sunday I took my famizzle fishizzleling.

 and one other fish... all with my little spider man fishing pole.  and all better than these little fish:

  the babies didn't get to fish.  they spent some time playing in baby jail...and clearly were not impressed.

Wow! The weeks continue to fly by!!!

1. We took the new chariot stroller for a test ride behind the bike! 

2. Cora turned 9 months old! Crawling, pulling up, she is so much fun right now.

3. got to spend LAST week with some great people at FFA convention -- always a fun time to see old friends and make new ones!

4. K-State Ag is enrolling some great new students -- so fun to see the next leaders of the COA as freshman!

5. Andy has been gone a few nights this week -- always kind of fun to just be us girls! But we are glad he is coming home today!!

Yes, I've been missing in the blogosphere for several weeks now... Work has been a little OUT OF CONTROL busy... and we've been hopping pre-sunup to after sun down...

A few things we've been up to..

1. Finding "vintage" gems in my grandpas storage unit.

2. Watching Cora learn to CRAWL! eek.

3. Celebrating my first Mother's Day

4. Work work work work

5. Eating some yummy food

6. Repaintjng some of my vintage finds...

7. Helping Cora survive getting 4 teeth at the same time

8. Andy working hard on Cora's crib

9. Doing the annual FFA convention prep

10. And trying to believe its "summer" already.

Here's hoping the next few weeks bring more time with family, friends!!
